For All Stages of Life
Our studios are built to the same standard as a home and offer great versatility. While you may need a work-from-home office now, when you retire, you can transform your space into a hobby room, a guest room or a private garden retreat, creating long-term value for your investment. studio sheds
Like a custom home, all of our studios are built to your specifications, based on your preferred size, roof line, selection of doors, windows, siding and colours. We also have various options available for interior finishes, including climate control and lighting.
Ground Base:
- As a standard, an eco-grid + gravel base is installed for stability and drainage. The structure sits on pressure treated 4×4’s, which are placed on patio stones to lift the structure off the ground so that water runs under the studio
- Helical piles or an insulated concrete pad may be required based on soil conditions, slope, the size of the structure and your preferences for interior finishes
Floor:
- 2×6 floor joists; 12” on center
- Insulation is installed between floor joists
- A vapour barrier is installed across the bottom of the joists and covered with pressure treated plywood
- Sub-floor is 5/8″ tongue and groove OSB
Walls:
- 8′ walls create a spacious feeling and allow for ample headroom
- 2×4 studs; 16″on center
- Insulation is installed between studs and covered with a vapour barrier on the inside
- 7/16″ OSB exterior sheathing
- Rigid insulation is installed over the OSB sheathing
- A variety of siding and interior wall finishes are available
Roof:
- 2×4 rafters and crossbeams ; 24″ on center
- Insulation in attic of structure to prevent heat loss
- Architectural asphalt shingles, available in various colours, or upgrade to metal roofing
- 6″ aluminum fascia and drip edge around the roof perimeter; various colours available
- 12″ overhang around the roof perimeter, with vented aluminum soffits; various colours available
- Finished interior ceiling
Electrical:
- Four recessed LED ceiling lights with wall switch
- Four electrical outlets
- One exterior light with interior wall switch
- Electrical Panel
- Fire and CO2 alarm
Climate Control:
- Ductless heat pump for heating and air conditioning, with remote control
Time for Construction
The majority of our studios take two weeks to complete. This means that you’ll have your new space before you know it! Larger, more complex projects can take up three weeks and may require some lead time to obtain a building permit.

We stand behind our work, with a 3-year, bumper-to-bumper warranty on all of our structures – the best in the business. Interior and exterior finishes have extended manufacturer warranties.
